its
quiet and rural village setting, The Old Post Office has
convenient private parking at one side - ideal for partially
disabled guests.
It's also particularly suitable for families,
with a large children's playhouse safely situated next to
the cottage by the lawned play area (garden furniture and
barbeque provided).
This single story property has been sensitively
converted to make the most of its period charm while meeting
modern requirements.
The Old Post Office is heated by duo heaters
and is fully double glazed, making it ideal for out-of-season
breaks.

Throughout the property the colour scheme
is cream and light floral patterns with touches of natural
wood. This works particularly well in the large lounge/diner
which is cool and airy in summer and cosy in winter when
the open coal and log firelight flickers on the exposed
beams.
Packed full of modern appliances the fully
fitted kitchen is well equipped for your self-catering holiday.
There's even a washing machine/dryer for muddy trousers
or damp beach towels. The well appointed bathroom gives
you the choice of relaxing in the wood panelled bath or
taking a brisk shower.
The main double bedroom with its lovely views
over the Wolds, features a distinctive wood and wrought
iron bed and is decorated with the same light touch as the
rest of the property. The second bedroom has two single
beds (one is raised). Both bedrooms have pretty colour coordinated
curtains and bed linen.
WHAT'S IN THE LOCAL AREA?
To make life easy try the local pub food (highly
recommended), or the fish & chip shop. Online grocery
shopping can be delivered. Also about a mile away from your
cottage is a general store and a butchers, plus a Post Office/newsagents.
Further afield, but within easy reach you can go fishing,
horseriding, swimming, shooting, walking and mountain biking.
There couldn't be a more peaceful or tranquil
setting than The Old Post Office.
